My story
I’m Jake, a qualified pharmacist with NHS and private experience. I’ve been helping patients and people just like you for the past 8 years. I’ve worked in hospitals, GP surgeries, pharmacies, 111 call centres and even COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics. I’m proud of what I do but it often dawns on me that by the time people come to see their pharmacist they’re already fighting a battle that society and often decades of poor lifestyle decisions has set them up to lose.
I've seen in my clinical practice the devastation that chronic disease and mental illness plays on people but what if I told you that it didn’t have to be this way. If we as a society prioritised health education and prevention of disease we could improve the lives of millions. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to provide accessible and honest health care advice to all.
I’ve dispensed thousands of prescriptions and consulted hundreds of patients each with something in common - a healthcare system that has waited for them to get sick before intervening. But what if we intervened before that first prescription is ever written?
The information you find on this page and across my socials will give you a blueprint to do just that – avoid prescriptions. Not a great business model for a pharmacist but one that puts the power back in the hands of the people with the central premise that prevention is always better than cure.
